The native interface for automatically generating captions directly within the v2 Studio is currently in development. Our engineering team is working to bring this feature to the new dashboard soon.
In the meantime, you can still generate automatic captions by using our Legacy Dashboard as a workaround.
Workaround: Using the Legacy Dashboard
If you need to generate captions for your project today, please follow these steps:
Switch to the Legacy Dashboard: Locate the New Studio toggle switch in the top-right corner of your dashboard.
Toggle it OFF to return to the classic version of the interface.
Generate Your Captions: Once in the Legacy Dashboard, follow the step-by-step instructions in the Legacy Captions Guide to transcribe your media.
Copy the JSON Code: After the legacy editor has generated the caption tracks, click on the JSON tab or the export button.
Copy the entire JSON code block to your clipboard.
Return to the v2 Studio: Click the "BETA Try New Studio" button at the top center of the studio
This opens your project in the v2 Studio Editor.
Your automatic captions will now appear as tracks on your timeline.
