Shotstack Team Workspaces

Written by Peace Aisosa

Team workspaces allow multiple users to collaborate under a single Shotstack account. While billing and credits remain tied to the account owner, all team members share access to uploads, templates, renders, API keys, and integrations. You can easily switch between your personal account and any shared workspaces using the sidebar switcher.

Note: Workspaces are opt-in and require an active Subscription plan (they are not available on Free Trial or Pay As You Go).
If your subscription is canceled or downgraded, the shared workspace temporarily locks, but no data is deleted. Access is fully restored once you re-subscribe.

Roles and Access

To create a workspace, go to Settings → Workspace and click Create workspace. The person who creates the workspace automatically becomes the Owner.
Everyone in the workspace is assigned one of three roles:

  • Owner: The primary account holder. There is only one per workspace, and this role cannot be transferred.

  • Admin: Can manage almost everything the Owner can (members, integrations, API keys, and billing), except renaming the workspace.

  • Member: Can create content and view integrations, but cannot manage team settings, change configurations, or delete other people's files.

Inviting Team Members

Shotstack Workspace

Instead of sharing account passwords, Owners and Admins can invite teammates using secure, single-use registration links. Invited members simply accept the link to join, keeping their own individual Shotstack login.

To invite a teammate:

  1. Log in to app.shotstack.io and navigate to Settings → Workspace.

  2. Click the teal + Invite member button.

  3. Select the appropriate role (Admin or Member) for your teammate, then click Generate invite link.

  4. Copy the generated link and send it directly to your teammate via email or your preferred messaging app.

  5. Click Done to close out the modal.

Note: Invite links are single-use and automatically expire if unclaimed after 7 days. If a link expires, simply repeat the steps above to generate a new one.
